While the file-sharing spectacle rages on in Sweden, this summer, the Bureau of Piracy together with Teh Piraet Bey looks to the rest of the world and embarks on a journey that will take them throughout Europe with final destination the mountainsides of Bolzano, Italy and the Manifesta art biennial.
The Bureau will continue what started with the walpurgis ritual last year, with a re-examination party in the Italian mountains and the presentation of a new statement based on their recent experiences from the Scandinavian copyfight. The party will be open for you all and the whole project will be documented and shared with everyone. You know who we are.
Manifesta art biennale is held to be one of the most innovative art events of its kind and is highly respected within the contemporary art community. Their invitation of The Bureau of Piracy to Manifesta will expose the artworld to the fascinating KOPIMI way of life.

Piratbyrån presents: Four Shreddings and a Funeral – A 2007 walpurgis ritual on spring mountain On April 30th, Piratbyrån (The Bureau of Piracy) performed a kopimi Walpurgis Night ritual at the highest mountain in Stockholm:

In response to the temporary shut down of The Pirate Bay on May 31, nearly 1,000 people came out in protest. “Pirates, file sharers, culture interested people, integrity advocates and freedom advocates” joined The Pirate Party and The Pirate Bureau in Stockholm and Gothenberg.
“I am happy to announce today that The Pirate Bay is back up! After not much hard work everything that was up before the incident last Wednesday is back up again. This time we’re firing with the big cannons and say “IN YOUR FACE, HOLLYWOOD!”
Police has today seized the servers of Swedish The Pirate Bay even if the servers are fully legal under the current Swedish laws.
In the raid the server form Piratbyrån among others were also taken. By raiding the ISP a fully legal service was shot down and our freedom of thought offended. This temporary blow will make the Internets roar. And make the heat and anomalies under the current copyright regime even greater. Internet will not listen to the reason of the old mass medial matrix.
